I wanted to talk about mental health as it's really important that we look after ourselves & know that it is okay not to be okay all the time. For me personally I have always suffered with my mental health & have had a lot of trauma in my life which has led me to develop PTSD, BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) & Depression. There are millions of people out there who are just like me, some who cope with it better than others & I just want to share some of my tips on what helps me on my bad days in hopes that it can help others. Even a little.

What helps me on my bad days:

  1. Music: Music is a really good way to take time to yourself and really relate to lyrics. You can choose whatever genre you want to listen to at that moment in time and it helps relax you.

  2. Meditation: Meditation is an absolutely amazing way to help de stress and unwind. Its super calming and helps reduce negative emotions.

  3. Writing: Keeping a journal really helps in many ways. Just being able to put pen to paper and being able to physically write out what is bothering me helps soothe my soul. You feel like you've told the world your problems and a weight has been lifted. You can also use your journal to write down goals and what you want to achieve in life. Helps you to focus on what you want to accomplish and gain.

  4. Routine is definitely a must have. When you don't have a routine you may feel like your life is a bit all over the place which can cause upset. A routine will give you that drive and help you mentally each day.

  5. Exercise really does go a long way. Even if you are not one for exercise, a 10 minute walk can help you so much. Walking helps you mentally & physically. It gives you a chance to get fresh air and clear your head which is something that can benefit us. It just gives you such a boost.

If you do suffer with your mental health please just always remember that you are not alone & you never will be. You are a warrior & should be super proud of yourself. You are brave. You are strong. You are beautiful.

I want you all to remember this : Anything that costs you your peace is too expensive. Sending you all love, hugs & positive energy.
